The foundation Manfred-Hermsen-Stiftung was licensed by the Senator of the Interior, Culture and Sports (equivalent to Ministry) of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (equivalent to a federal state) in accordance with §80 German Civil Code in conjunction with §4 Bremen Law on Foundations.

Explanations

Collection of personal data
Visiting the website of the Manfred-Hermsen-Stiftung www.m-h-s.org for information purposes is possible without providing personal data. However, log data is automatically transmitted to the hosting provider of the Foundation's website and stored in server log files. These are deleted within two months. 

The data collected via the homepage includes the time and date of access, name and URL (address of the accessing website), the operating system and versions used by the accessing system, browser types and versions used, status and amount of data at the time of transmission, as well as the IP address of the requesting system or website from which the access to the Foundation's website came, and other similar data and information used to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems. IP addresses are only stored for the purpose of preventing or documenting misuse. The Manfred-Hermsen-Stiftung does not use the transmitted IP addresses itself, nor does it pass them on to third parties. The Foundation is only interested in user-independent statistics. They are only traced in the event of a cyber-attack. Cookies are not used.

Use of personal data 
By contacting the Manfred-Hermsen-Stiftung (proposals, requests, applications, etc.) you automatically agree that the Foundation may use your data for the fulfilment of its purpose. Personal data in correspondence with the Foundation will be handled as follows:

  • All data remain stored for the duration of the conversation (e-mails, notes, letters) and are afterwards deleted, unless otherwise requested by the person / organization concerned. This data includes all inquiries such as applications for volunteer services or for a job advertisement, offers of any kind.  

    Exceptions are data in connection with the promotion of projects, cooperations, etc. that concern the business operations of the Foundation:
  • These are stored as long as it appears operationally necessary, at least for the duration of the legal archiving obligations.

Safety and security 
There is no transfer of data to third countries. Technical and organizational security measures are used to protect your data transmitted to the Foundation against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.

Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection
You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by the Foundation at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or deleted, apart from the legally required storage of data for business purposes.

Changes to our data protection regulations  
The Manfred-Hermsen-Stiftung reserves the right to make occasional changes to this data privacy statement in order to always comply with current legal requirements or to implement changes to its services in the data privacy statement.
